Nor'easter I: April, 19-20 1997
The ASL Nor'easter is New England's regional ASL championships. It is held annually near Boston, MA. It is a yearly get-together of people in the New England area that play Advanced Squad Leader (ASL). The Nor'easter is hosted and directed by the boys from The Bunker and the Yankee ASL Group
Visitors are very welcome, and you'll probably be able to play a game if you want to learn. Have a look at the archived web sites for other Nor'easters to see what the event is like.
The Nor'Easter is over for 1997. Held over 19-20 April at the Framingham, Massachusetts, Sheraton Tara, it occured during (of course) an actual Nor'Easter. Rained for nearly 72 straight hours. A perfect time for an ASL tournament. There were 26 players in the running and a few more on the side. The first-place winner this year was Alan Loiselle of Massachusetts.
This year's prizes were contributed by Avalon Hill, FrontLine productions, and Evan Sherry of Schwerpunkt. Thanks, folks, for your generous donations of products and gift certificates.
