The Nor’easter turns thirty this year!!! How time flies. Come celebrate this milestone with us that you have all made possible.
The event will be held at the La Quinta by Wyndham, 100 Congress Street, Springfield MA
The dates will be 3/19-3/22 Thursday through Sunday for the Tournament.
Doors open at 10AM on Thursday and close when the last game wraps up.
HOWEVER!! Anyone interested in arriving early on Wednesday, there is a small room block of guest rooms that have been reserved. Some of us are planning on heading out to the NBA Hall Of Fame on Wednesday which is in town.
Basketball Hall of Fame Trip
Basketball Hall of Fame prices are: 1 day pass $34 < 64, $25 > 65 years old. If there is sufficient interest, we will see if we can get a group rate. Please indicate if you are interested on the registration page at Yankee ASL.
The HOF is open from 10AM to 4PM every day of the week.
After visiting the HOF, or if you have no interest in doing so, but still arrive on Wednesday, please contact me at carlhnogueira@gmail.com, and I will try to pair you up with other players for some games. Our conference room will not be ready for players on Wednesday, but there is enough space in the rooms to set up a game and get some gaming in.
On Thursday, the Conference Room opens up to us and Thursday is our traditional Open ASL playing, where guys play what they want. Match up with someone and play that big scenario you have been itching to play, or join us in heading over to the Springfield Armory, which is free and houses many legendary small arms and weapons of various kinds, such as the M1 Garand, made famous in WW2. The Armory’s hours are Wednesday through Sunday: 9:30AM to 4:00PM. While currently closed due to the Government Shutdown, it should hopefully be reopened by the time of the tournament.
Main Tournament
The scenario list for the Main Tournament is under construction currently, as are the lists for the Mini Tournaments. Friday, to give folks a chance to arrive and settle in, doors open at 10AM.
First Round 10AM-4PMSecond Round 5PM until finished
Third Round 9AM until 4 PM
Fourth Round 5PM until finished
Fifth Round 9AM until at latest 6PM when we get tossed out.

It is EXTREMELY important that you use this Room Block code to make your reservation to get the correct room rate for the Convention. If there are any issues with this, please contact me at carlhnogueira@gmail.com and I will huddle with the sales manager at the hotel and get any problems resolved.
They are holding a small number of rooms for early arrivals on Wednesday and late stayers on Sunday. Thursday night through Saturday night we have 2 King Bed Rooms, 2 Suites and 23 2 Queen Bed Rooms. Room rates are: 109.00 per night for the King and Queen Rooms and 139.00 per night for a Suite.
Room reservation drop dead date is 3/04/2026.
Guest Room Check in is 3 PM Check Out is 11 AM.
Hot breakfast buffet in the Dining Room 6-10, heated pool and high speed internet are the usual perks that come with it.
Flying to Nor'easter?
The airport is Bradley International Airport (yes they do have international flights). The airport code is BDL when booking online. It is 25 minutes from the La Quinta.

You can pre-register for the lower price until Mar 04 - after that you'll have to pay the higher rate at the door. Registration costs are below and we have our usual excellent raffle . Additional details to follow as they become available.

In addition to all of the above, there is our yearly Raffle that will be held. Also, the Citadel Game Cellar, an iconic brick and mortar hobby store in the area will have a presence at the con. If you would like to have a boardgame(s) set aside for you by the store for purchase at the con, please contact carlhnogueira@gmail.com and I will arrange it with ownership at the hobby shop as I work there part-time in my retirement. I can also check availability etc. Please help this great store that has been in continuous business now since 1977.
We also plan to have a pizza night on Saturday night, with pick up from the highly regarded local pizzeria Red Rose, that will be brought back to the hotel for attendees to devour.
There are also other plans in the works right now for little perks that will be announced as we get them to fruition. As we try to make the 30th anniversary of the Nor’easter one to remember.
